30mm dellorto banjo fitting

Postby Granty » Fri May 29, 2015 9:00 am

Troops, got a 30mm delly running open mouth but I think the fuel line is catching on the side of the panel and knocking the carb of the MB rubber, can I turn the banjo around so the fuel inlet is pointing down the way so the fuel pipe doesn't run along the the inside of the panel? Carb is defo not touching the panel and stationary the carb is tight on the rubber and manifold. Any ideas this fine Friday morning? Cheers and have a good day y'all - G

fine eh !? its dark and squally here in Somerset . :(
There is adequate 'head' of pressure from the tank to feed the carb so I would expect the banjo to flow perfectly whatever angle it is set at so long as the fuel line doesn't kink.

Might be worth searching for a better clamp to prevent the carb popping out of the rubber inlet or potential air leaks. Maybe one with a narrower band

Send some of that fine weather down here will'ya

I'll try a narrow clamp -- it popped of the manifold side, the rubber was defo fitted in the groove properly -- see what tonight brings - G

I read somewhere recently about modding the spigot to prevent the carb popping off. Think it was on the MB Development site or maybe Camlam.
