Technical help for Series one, two and three Lambrettas. Models include the Li, Li Special, TV, SX, GP, Serveta and API/SIL models

Hi, my standard series 2 li150 starts to cut out when warm at tickover engine speed, it's fine when the revs increase and I'm actually going along but happens when I pull up to a junction or roundabout and have to stop, it's starts up straight away again.
Is it likely to be the condenser giving up on me? It's been replaced fairly recently but that's not to say that I didn't heat it up too much when fitting or that it's faulty out of the packet!
Thanks,
Rog

Are you sure its not just your Tickover Screw or Cable adjustment ?

Or mixture screw may need adjusting with the colder weather?

Yeah it's definitely not the tickover, the tickover speed is fine and I've tried adjusting the mixture screw but that doesn't seem to make any difference, what's the recommended amount of turns out? I've got it at 2 turns out at the minute and it's an Indian SPACO carb.

I think I managed to fix this yesterday, it was the mixture screw - I've got it set to 3/4 turn out and it's not stalling on tickover now, hurrah!
