Series 1 frame breather RATRACE

I found a series 1 framebrether in a poor but solid condition been parked up in a barn for a few years .decided to do a Rat with Mod cons . so set about stripping the scooter of all parts not needed
here is a pic of how I found her 125 CC FRAME BREATHER BLANKING PLATE NO SPEEDO

AND NOW TO BREAK HER DOWN SO SOME CHOSEN BITS TO BE ADDED

Some one has been at the electrics lol

Stripped and ready for waxing to keep as is under the panel work new wire harnes etc ...TS1 thanks to Darren Scott

Oh yes, right up my street. That is exactly what I`m planning for my next build....just need to find a bloody Series 1 first :)

Now for the extra bits of modernish technologie r6 rear shocker Sip rims Frank Sandersom PM antidive disk brake and BGM Black eddition dampers ,not sure about the seat yet will see how it feels when riding it a bit :D

Now to start paneling her back up add legshield toll box and pathfinders ,Jem booth (very clever and knowladgeable man very helpfull on this rebuild ) wired the original light switch to work the pathfinders with out adding extra switches

Pathfinders added as well as ordered from Jockeyboxenstop a halogen headlight

And a nannucci style front mudguard added and in the alli fuel tank there is enough room for bottle of twostoke and a jug lol :lol:

Nice work RB

Take care with the R6 shock on a SI and SII frame, as the reservoir hits the rear loop under extreme circumstances. I had to space my shock away from the frame, but it still hits. You can mount the shock upside down (with the reservoir to the front) in order to avoid this problem, but this wasn't an option for me.

Keep the photos coming. Since the forum crashed, there has been a lack of start-to-finish photo stories available, and this is a good one.

Thanks Martin was in two minds in turning it upside down want to see if i adjust it up on a harder setting it will be ok but will be checking it :shock:

Headset was left Rat looking but ignition switch added as well as hydraulic Brake res and PM levers ,Still thinking of adding the new SIP speedo rev counter :!: :?: :idea:

Head light arrived today with no distructions with it fitting was easy and went in the lightsuround ok wire...ing being different colours was a bit confusing at first .. but a message or two later had the info I needed :? :lol:

so thats the front end wired up now for the LED rear light :!: :!:
