This is probably the most stupid question ever asked but does anyone make an accurate standard looking speedo for a Lambretta?

Jem Booth re-conditions original Lambretta speedos. They work really well,I've had one for 4 years and its dead steady. As for being accurate, unless you use a GPS type, your'e never going to be totally accurate.

I was a bit concerned with the title of this thread. Thought it might be some fat LCGB member in a swimming cozzy

On the subject of speedos, has anyone got one that works without waving at you if you go above 30 mph. Have changed both the worm wheel and mating wheel that fits inside wheel hub (what a game that was) all to no avail. Also changed speedo made no difference either. Any suggestions out there? Thanks in advance.

I'm surprised that nobody has come up with a GPS Speedo which fits in a st'd speedo housing and does what the Garmin Forerunners do?

Being summer, prob on holiday although quite a few people making a lazy run back from some Spanish rally and apparently there has been tons of scooterists in Ryde for the festival season finishing with the rally this weekend but one do had like all the 2 tone groups up think it was last weekend or weekend before.

Been using a pushbike speedo which has been pretty accurate.
Just fitted a SIP speedo / rev counter so I'm hoping it will be close .

Some of them programmable electronic types are pretty good as you tell it you got 10 inch wheels and it counts the blips from the attached wheel magnet and uses a simple formula of how many blips per min versus wheel size equals your spot on speed.
My T5's one is dreadful, seems to develop British Leyland about 50 which goes slow, lots of breaks and stoppages...

I have an Li 150 Special and bought a replacement speedo for about £20 at a parts fair.
With a new cable too, I can honestly say that the speedo has performed faultlessly, never wavered, never faltered.
I think it's also fairly accurate too.
Lucky me!

Think you've been very lucky then....certainly not in my experience.....Agree with others Jem' s the man for speedo's ...message to anyone ...don't send Jem a Cheepo speedo to refurbish .....it'll probably end up in the bin..
