I have just counted the teeth on a ´69 Italian GP150 gearbox, marked Innocenti, as far as I'm aware it's original to the bike.
1st 10 50
2nd 12 42
3rd 16 38
4th 19 35
Now I'm confused, as all the info I have says that a GP 3rd should be 15 39 In fact, I can't find anything anywhere for a 3rd gear that is 16 38 Any ideas what this is all about??
Cheers
Alan

It’s an Indian Vijay Super 150 gearbox. There is also a Vijay Super Mk2 box that differs again.

Cheers for that. The 38 cog is stamped Innocenti though, and it's one that has stood unrestored and

unmolested for decades before I got hold of it....
