Ignition Switch "Embellisher"

TV 175 s3. The chrome disc that the key passes through on the ignition switch has come off. It has two "legs" on it which look as if they should retain it by being bent over once in position but to do this, the lock barrel seems to need to come out of the switch itself. Is it possible to remove and then replace it? Sticky's book doesn't tell me.

Thanks but I've sort of cracked it.

I had the headset off and the switch out but couldn't see how the lock barrel was retained. However, I removed the black nylon(?) ring and found that with much patience and a little bad language, I could poke a tiny screwdriver in and bend the tabs enough to retain the chrome cover. All would have been well except the key would no longer go in! On close inspection I noticed that the slot for the key is not perfectly central and I'd fitted it upside down! It's fine now though.
