Just been reading through and realised there's no definitive start time. All I could see was Midmorning is that 10am or 12 midmorning. Can someone clarify with a definite start time as this will help with those travelling to the start.

They won't want us all to roar off at the same time as it's just cause congestion, the Derby 150 had a casual start over an hour or so, I expect this is the same 8-)

I will add that Stoneham lane is closed from mid morning til 6 pm at the Eastleigh football club end. This is to allow full pedestrian access for supporters going to & leaving the match. Eastleigh FC are at home that day against Tranmere rovers so expect a few thousand people walking down there. If you allow yourself time you'll miss all that anyway.

If you access the event from the M27 (airport junction) which I wholly advise, follow the signs for A335 - Southampton/Swaythling & go down the dual carriageway until the first set off lights, (there is a low bridge opposite) go into the right hand filter lane & turn right A27 - into Bassett green road, head on up a hill to another set of lights, turn right again into Stoneham lane, through a couple of S bends & BTC is on your right.

If you're a football fan, keep your eye on the results of Tranmere, Braintree and Eastleigh today. It is likely that the Eastleigh v Tranmere game will be a big game next week as both are going for the play offs and this game will be their next to last of the season. A big game in Non League terms that is :-)

A truly bonkers night, mate. Great game though. I watched the complete BT Sport re-run last night :-)

Oh, Tranmere lost again today so I suspect there'll be a few less Birkonians in your vicinity next weekend.

Have a good ride ( and no dramas) :-)

I'm a s/t holder at Eastleigh, missed one home game all season. A few weeks ago i thought the bad run of form after the cup run which ended in defeat at Bolton was the season finished. However, the teams around Eastleigh faltered also, and the results of the last few games have given more than a fighting chance of that last play off place, especially as Tranmere lost today. Game in hand at Halifax Tuesday night followed by Tranmere Saturday. Bloody fixture list!!!

Anyway, I digress. See you all at the weekend!

Can i ask from a practical point of view, I am assuming during the day on saturday there is some form of security where we are camping? ie for leaving the gear we dont want to be lugging about on the actual run?

The gates will be locked when the last rider leaves, plus BTC staff will be on all weekend.

Every campsite I've ever been on at a rally seems to me that anyone can walk up and have a nose. This place has got gates across the entry. There may be kids football in the afty but definitely no need to worry.

Proper random & a big ask but I don't suppose there's any pet friendly non riders about on Saturday? I've been stuffed up by the dogsitter but will be there nevertheless albeit with a dog in tow. She is a well behaved (unless there's food involved...) chocky brown Labrador that will be fine in the van but my dog guilt leaves me thinking that a dog friendly type would be better company... No worries if not, but worth an ask eitherway eh.

LCGB Virgina,

Looking forward to this one.

Question is camp or stay at home as live local.

I live local too, but it's camping for me. The vibe can't be bettered in my opinion. Plus a good evening do is on the cards.
