Need advise on drilling a hole in the under headset for the hose but what's the best drill bits to use and where can you buy the grommets for the hole ;)

Put masking tape around the intended area in case drill slips. Drill small pilot hole first. Increase size and use the drill bit as a router to get size right. Good quality HSS bits are all you need.
Pack of assorted grommets from Halfords; The Range; B and Q.
It is surprisingly easy to do.

Meant to add: You have to go lower than it first looks because headset top sits down over the base and if pipe not low enough you can't get headset top on without forcing it.

I always cut a slot in the headset bottom, rather than a hole. Cot it so the headset to forms the top of the hole and still use a grommet.

this makes fitting and removal a lot easier and looks as neat.

Panda, when I did mine, I used masking tape across the top of the headset, then I used a file and filed the slot until it sat properly over the bottom of the headset without crushing the hose.
This way if for whatever reason I may want to revert back then I only have to get a new headset top.

I wouldn't worry unduly as a competent alloy welder can sort out a gaping hole in a headset top or bottom

Follow the hose with your cables through the horn cast then route to the brake pedal switch and connect there. try the brake once connected if the brake lights do not work switch them around at the top, :)

I took 1 wire from new switch to a live in headset and a 2nd wire from the other terminal through the frame and spliced it into the brake light wiring above the rear mudguard.
