Top day out today , encouraged by some good people , and a good club behind me DSC .

I've learnt today i need some stronger grade nylock as the scoot shook itself to bits . But all in all i've learnt alot about the scooter and how to ride it . im glad i didn't turn up at croft trying to complete 8 laps as it probably wouldn't have made it due to bits falling off :D

Once the rain had stopped , or nearly and the wet tyres were fitted out we went again. I'm afraid I got a little overconfident after about 8 laps I tried a bit of Tarmac surfing. While leaning into a left hand bend the backend came round on me. The rear runner took a little battering but all in all very lucky , in fact hell I even enjoyed sliding down the track. By the time we finished the scoot looked like I'd being off roading on it.

Complex 2 is where I took a slide. 2 to 3 is a climbing hill so I wasn't carrying that much speed fortunately. Damage is Minamel.

I know most of these will read different temps give or take a few degrees. This was the max temp I reached throughout the day 166. How does this fare to other bikes. Barring in mind this was held just about flat out everywhere I could on the circuit. Just curious , it's a ring under the spark plug where the sensor is located.

Thanks gents. On my practice day i found I was jumping out of 2nd gear every now and then. So I thought I would have a check see if it's the spring or the selector. Then I thought I'd show how an 8 plate clutch has been fit into the casing without a packer plate.

Obviously on a road bike , this would never be any good as the kickstart mech has to go. Unless u like bump starting all the time.
Mallory will now be my 1st outing as I can't get my licence in time. Gutted but I'll be there at croft to spectate.

Hi Pete
No I'm afraid that was only a practice day. My 1st real race will be Mallory. Just sent my forms off for a place in the race :?

Well my race licence dropped through the post today. Which allows me to race at Mallory. I was gutted to miss croft but sometimes things happen for a reason. The ACU trainning day at darley moor was good. I found myself out doing 6 laps of the circuit with a vfr 400 and 6 600cc bikes. Only 3 of them managed to lap me which wasn't bad considering I was only on a road going ts1. I'll look forward to racing there later in the year ! Here's the grid line up

Managed to squeeze into 23 place on the grid.

Went over today, was a delay because of a crash in one of the bike races. In order to get all in the two scheduled races were made into one but made 8 laps.

Not sure where Daz came, but he more than held his own, certainly overtook a few and held them off. I'm sure he will update later

Great tussle at the front between (I think) no 1 and no 4, both hit a backmarker on the final bend and no 4 on a full bodied won the day.
