Morning, rebuilt an Indian gp200 gbox with a 6 plate af clutch. All shimmed up fine under end plate. Gear selector moves freely and gearbox spins fine without clutch fitted. Selector arm is at 90 drags to stud in 2nd gear as it should be. Fit clutch and torque up (7kgm)and I can select 1st and 2nd, but not 3rd and 4th. Selector arm is rock solid after 2nd. Tried thicker shim under clutch with minor improvement, could get 3rd with some effort. Cables not attached. I am using the original bevel washer ( ordered new ones just in case) unsure if this could be it?

Is the selector arm pivot plate the correct way around. Try turning it 180 degrees and then try selecting the gears.
