Cheers Kidda

Headlight is a genuine SIL Lumas (yep yellowed) it's got a Brytax rear and want to change front to Brytax to match... Need to yellow that one.

Last job is to yellow the writing on the tyres

Well, we've had a bit of day today..

Late start today as re runs of the Gaffer on rewind this morning!!

1. Schoolboy error, gear cables wrong way round
2. Sorted that, back out - jumping out of 4th.
Back to base.. But of messing around with cables, still doing it. Stripped cables and seemed to be okay by hand. Reassembled no better.
So replaced tie rod and removed the gaiter/bellows......
Bingo - perfect
3. 20 nice miles round town felt nice, speedo decent against the GPS. Jetting feels about right.
4. Tweeked cables, tightened a few bolts
5. Put it away and bumped the back light and cracked it - luckily the casing and not the brytax lens!!

New light ordered... Get some decent miles in next Saturday, 4 thou bore clearance should mean not to much!!

Anyway we've moved forward...

That brings back memories of my first Lambretta, back in ‘79. A new T registration GP150. Somewhere, I still have the green canvas tool roll ( no tools I am afraid) that came with that scooter originally. When I come across it again, it’s yours if you want it, Gaz.

That's great to hear it conjures up a 70s feel

That was exactly what I was trying to create without been OTT.

Was just thinking I need a roll for toolbox to keep the very essentials in.. The bigger stuff is on tool roll on back and spares in the fibreglass tool box on the legshield carrier.

Bugger where's the oil going??!!

Missing a big legshield toolbox already......one in garage off to painter this weekend and a trusty flat wheel carrier on back as per all my others !!

Finished... 200 miles on the clock, shakedown done... Held at 50mph for about 3 miles, no issue, been up to 55mph.
Very nice to ride... Should be good for 60mph
Panels on....

How about painted yellow tin plate with black stick-on numbers for that true 70s feel?

It’s a lovely Indian GP, Gaz.

But, I’m inclined to agree about the plate. I never recall seeing a plate with digits like yours in the late ‘70s.

That said, being a minge bag, if I’d already bought two plates, I wouldn’t be buying another :P

I look forward to seeing the GP in a lay-by somewhere in 2026. Sorry, at a rally is what I mean to type :)

Cheers Paul

3 plates!!! .. Bought the one on right first, then thought first scooter I had, the first thing I did was ditch the ali plate with plastic clipped on digits for a perspex plate...
Then saw a GP with that 3 row layout...
Im not struck on any but can't buy another!!!
