Russian roulette fuel stops and Nobby's piston holing on a bullet-proof MB TS225 tune sent me in an EGT and CHT gauge direction... overkill maybe but gave me something to do once the kids were in bed.

Dug out some racking and worked out necessary circumference for the Skydrive gauges

Cut and formed round a scaffold tube
Image
Sussing out positioning, cut some cardboard tubes out to mock up

Decided on two on the left hand side

Cable tied tubes round gauges

Scribed

Chain drilled

Butchered...

Tidied up

Angle of the dangle check

Next one tidied...

Clocks in...

Off to Nobby for fab fabbing skills

Bit of Fat Boy 3 Death Juice rusty starter applied

Clocks mounted. Bingo.

We found some drain cleaner that is hardcore nasty shit and has sulphuric acid in it- it will etch steel no problem.... And take paint off most things.... And melt plastic lids..... And also take your finger print grooves off your finger tips if you leave it on there to long!
