Backfiring

Need help with a tuning kit, how do you tune your scooter, which kit should I choose, and all general tuning and modifcations questions are for in here.

In that case, it's almost certainly the pick up alignment. If you want to go back to the af light flywheel, you could use an external pick up. Personally I'm a big fan of them.

He did try an external pickup Dickie and still had issues although very strange that it did :shock: one for mr Tambs too get his head pickled around ;)

Possible crack in the flywheel, or running slightly off centre ?

i tried it with the external pickup and the problem was still there

Well, my thoughts on the pick up were wrong and changing the flywheel fixed it, so I guess it mustn't have been ableto deliver enough power (electrical) to deliver sparks at higher revs. Cracked, demagnetised, something beyond my limited imagination.....

Funny one as I wouldn't expect the same problems when using the lt coil and the lighting coil but there you go. I'd at least expect the rpm where the problem kicks in to change with the lukas cdi, but I don't think it did?

Whatever, it works now.
