Best Supporting Member

The Lambretta Club of Great Britain runs a road riding competition for its members to participate in, this is known as the “Best Supporting Member Championship” for individual members and “Best Supporting Club Championship” for scooter clubs who register to take part in the club competition.

The purpose of the championships is to encourage LCGB members to get out there and ride their lambrettas. The competition runs each year from spring to autumn and number of events are chosen as championship events. Members riding to these events sign an attendance sheet and are then awarded points, the maximum being awarded for arrival on a lambretta. Lower points are awarded for other forms of transport, or, being a pillion rider. The more events attended the more points accumulated, and the higher the finishing place in the championship.

If a member signs the attendance sheet and specifies a scooter club, the scooter club will be awarded the same points. All these points add up to give the club a points tally and a placing in the club championship.

See the BSM rules for more information.

Trophies are awarded at the end of the season for the top 5 finishing men and women in the individual members championship and top 10 clubs in the scooter club championship.
