Best Supporting Member Rules 2023

  1. The Lambretta Club of Great Britain will promote a championship for road riding members in 2023.

The Championship Controller will be MICKEY GREENSMITH, email address mickyg6610@hotmail.co.uk. All correspondence regarding the championship should be sent to that address.

The championship controller’s decision is final in all matters regarding this championship. BUT the LCGB Committee reserves the right to overrule any decision if it is not in the interest of the club or its member(s).

  2. The championship will be open to all fully paid-up members of the LCGB. Should an individual’s membership elapse mid season he/she will be given a further one month’s grace to allow for administration.

Should a membership not be renewed within the normal period for such, all further championship points will not be credited. Until such time as proof of current membership can be given, points will not be awarded. Therefore please renew your membership on time.

  3. Only events printed in Jet Set and listed on the LCGB website will be included in the championship.

  4. All events included in the championship must incorporate an evening event, with camping or overnight facilities available. Daytime only events will not be included in the championship event list.

  5. All competing members must sign the official LCGB BSM signing on sheet for the event at which they are attending, no claims will be accepted by text / post/ telephone / email, after the event.

  6. The official LCGB BSM signing on sheet for the event will only be available on the Saturday of the BSM event weekend. The sheet will be available from the start of trading (Saturday) of the event to late afternoon / early evening of the same day.

  7. The membership NUMBER & NAME must be legibly printed on signing on sheets: no membership number, no points. Transport must be printed on the sheets, this should be Lambretta model, or alternative scooter manufacturer, motorcycle or car etc. The member must state whether rider or pillion. If travelling by car, whether driver or passenger.

  8. On signing-on sheets please put mileage travelled one way. All mileage should be one way to an event by the most direct route from the address held on the club’s database. If there is any variation from this, (for example you are working away from home) the championship controller must be notified.

  9. Only one event in a weekend to count, with the LCGB event dominating.

  10. Signing-on point will be the LCGB Club Shop stall when possible. The following will also be used as a signing on point if the LCGB stall is not present – Crusader Products Stall or Lexham Insurance stall, or a place announced on the LCGB website Forums prior to the event.

  11. Sign for yourself only. No points will be awarded for illegible writing or incorrect information or someone else signing on your behalf – and checks will be made. Anyone found to be completing false information on the BSM sheets may be removed from the championship and their membership revoked.

  12. Travelling by two types of transport to an event will result in the lower points being awarded, for example, part of the journey by van, part by Lambretta: in this case van points will be awarded. The full journey there and back must be made by the one same mode of transport.

  13. No points will be awarded for anyone signing on at a later date for an earlier rally or event.

  14. The name on Jet Set address label is the only one acceptable for signing on.

  15. The last event in the championship for 2023 will be Llandudno.

  16. Awards will be split between Male & Female in the solo section, with the first (5) Males & first (5) Females. All awards will be presented at LCGB Presentation Dance at the end of the year, at a venue to appear in Jet Set.

  17. No events to be added to the championship after the July/August edition of Jet Set magazine has been published.
