Thumbs up if you`ve finished 3rd in a Group 4 race @ your first ever race meeting........... superb.. 8-)

great day out at Mallory, some very good scooter riding performances today.. Sadly only one geared scooter race and one automatic scooter race.. Big delay in the morning due to motorcycle racer having a horror crash, air lifted to hospital after an absolute age in a trackside ambulance... the medical people were with him instantly.. but its sickening to see it all unfold. :(

Hi All.
Well that my 1st race out the way. Brilliant better than I ever thought it would be. The adrenalin running on the grid ! Unreal sat at the back of 24 scooters waiting for the lights. But once your away there's nothing like it. Focus running high into the 1st bend. What speed can I do ? Don't want to crash into all the guys around me I want to go faster, I'm getting passed !

The focus needed is unreal , then still in the back of your mind , I'm on a lambretta is it going to take 6 laps of being thrashed from within millimeters of its life and mine !

Well the answer is yes it did ! Sure it needs some improvements which were highlighted within the 2nd race. But so do I ! Am I glad I've done it ? hell yeah !

I would like to say a big thank you to everybody who helped make this happen. Andy Francis, chalkie , dene , Daz Scott , Gaz white ,Col , Steve Wright, all at DSC , kind comments on here my dad but most of all my wife Julie. Whom without the go-ahead to do so it never would have happened. Wether It was parts , advice , encouragement or sponsership. It all means a lot.

I will do a write up on each race soon.

Wasn't on board Daz's scooter, but it was in the same races and group, think it was from Darren Coneely's group 4. But gives you an idea!

Hi and thanks for positive comments.

Well we got east fortune this weekend. Looking forward to getting out again. Give the motor a good going over. Also adding an anti dive outboard. My inboard really let me down at Mallory so this is an essential upgrade.

Anti dive bracket to weld to the forks then we ready !
