Granturismo GT300LC info

Postby Eden » Fri Nov 07, 2025 7:02 pm

As ive not been around in the LCGB forum for a while i realised that the LC im now running has never been covered on here.
It first went on the road in 2019 in prototype form and to test it i took it to the Poland Euro and back. Since then its done many many miles and is still running beautifully.
Spec is:
Rotax 580 top end.
Purpose made GT case.
Unique Purpose made huge crank.
Aprilia RS125 ignition system.
Purpose made performance tuning exhaust.
3.8 final drive. (AF 5 speed, long 5th on 22X47 sprockets)
Underfloor scoop containing RS125 radiator.
Electric water pump.
RS125 guages.
Purpose made loom to cope with the Amps the RS generator pumps out.
Etc etc

Voice over video giving more info during on road footage returning from Porthcawl this year.

https://youtu.be/NQ9wdnUEclc

Its proved to be both reliable, easy to ride and very very quick.

Riding this run with you guys was a lot of fun. Whilst all bikes ran well, Eden's LC was very different to our respective air-cooled motors. The ability to keep temps stable, and low, regardless of revs, speeds and duration is completely different to my personal scooter experience.

If you want a motor that can be held at motorway speeds from here to wherever and back, then this is in a different league. I've Euroed to Germany, etc on kitted motors but this is something else.

Be interested to know wot the air cooled evo266 was like. Are there many on the road?

What I find puzzling with all theses amazing engines (and in fact many of the more common kits) is the general lack of information provided from the manufacturers.
Given the total investment needed to get one of these on the road you would think there would be more data readily available
