Engine dreams

With AF drastically reducing the price of 5 speed boxes, I was wondering if the extra cost would give you bang for buck in comparable engines.
I currently run a Rapido, 58x107 crank, PM pipe, the 5 speed would help me keep it in the power band and make it easier to ride. My thinking is that a 5 speed box would make a similar difference on a TS1.
But would it make the same sort of difference on a GT240 engine which has a slightly less peaky design.
For arguments sake use a franspeed super tour on both engines.

I've got a super tourer on my TS1 230 with a Broady 5 speed, which has the same final drive as AF's one, :D :D :D

Does the 5 speed make a huge difference?

I just about to fit a robbospeed 5 speed in my Targa and I'm expecting some significant changes in usable power. Last year I found I struggled to keep in the power range when I was touring Italy.
That said a friend put a rimini five speed in his tuned engine and the only difference he noticed was he changed gears a lot more!
A lot of the difference will depend on how you ride, the engine you're using and the box you fit i.e the ratio etc.
