Quick slip tensioner

need a wee bit of guidance here, rebuilding my engine & attaching a new Tino quick slip tensioner, now the 6mm slack, is that the complete movement of the chain,up and down or each side of the chain, 6mm up the 6mm down? any help please, cheers

You should not be able to move the chain more than 6mm above the chain guide. Any more and it will hit the top of the casing when spinning.

it`s seems pretty tight above the tensioner, but just before the front sprocket is where sticky said to check, there is abit of slack, moving that part of the chain there all in is up and down about 10mm, the set up is 46/15, & stretched chain

Surely 15x46 is standard 80 pitch?

Could it be that old chain ain't stretched enough for 16 front sprocket?
