Hi folks anybody using or recommend using 1st gear shims that are below 1mm?

Have the two under rear bearing shims in. Thick & thin! Suppose I could pull it all apart & put the double thick shims under the rear bearing. Thoughts team?

Save me from a new east to fit cyclone box please

Update two x thick shim & 1x thin shim under rear bearing. Still too much for a 1mm shim.
:o
Using an MB layshaft.

Anybody with the same setup?

Euro fast approaching

AF do or at least did shims at various thicknesses under 1mm, worth calling them maybe

check the rear hub bearing's thickness dimensions against an old Innocenti one, I had a good 0.5mm differance on one bearing to std

be careful with some of the AF's gear shims as they're not the same thickness in 4 x different positions on the outside diameter :?
I'd use cyclone or Broady :geek:

When you say gear shims do you mean the the first gear shim or the wire under the bearing type?

I think Cyclone shims go down to 0.8mm, but I thought the AF box required a shim of between 1.4 and 2.4mm? (Could be wrong, going from memory.)
