Rebuild starting issues? Vape?

Just rebuilt my gt186 motor and changed to dc static vape in process. This was major rebuild with new crank, gearbox, clutch and all new bearings and seals. Kicked it over today and it fired but wouldn’t rev/ idle. Kept cutting out. Tbh not sure where to start now. Carb is untouched ( and was dynod fine just before the strip down): ring gap checked and fine, leak tested and all fine. For completeness set up is

Gt186 - 5000 Kms on the barrel, ring gap fine and no piston i# fine
110/60 crank
30mm phbh no filter
Bgm v4 sport ( curly one)
Cyclone 5
Af 6 plate clutch
Vape dc static ignition
Squish: 1.2mm

Only other change was putting carb on rh side and using some new mb ethanol resistant fuel pipe.
( which tbh seems quite small bore )

My thoughts are
1. Take bowl off and check fuel flow rate to make sure enough getting through
2. Recheck all earths on vape. I have earth to motor and frame from regulator and earth to frame from the combined coil/ cdi pack
3. Recheck no major slip on stator, had a quick look and it seemed where I had set it at 18 degas

Any thoughts / advice please?

I could put the old ignition back on and give it a go, bit of faff though

Just been reading more on here and it could well be fuel, so will add that. It broke down in France, just died. I have same fuel in it, so will empty and start afresh. As a further check.

I don’t like that MB fuel pipe. Has it kinked?

Suggest that you remove your carb fuel bowl and check to see if there are any globules of water at the bottom of the bowl.
Sometimes...If you shine a good torch into the fuel tank you can see a glob of water resting at the bottom of the tank, which usually gets pulled through when you go onto reserve.

So solved it.

1. changed fuel - no difference
2. chard spark plug - no difference
3. checked spark/timing - all fine - no difference
4. checked reeds, all looked fine, but changed regardless ..and it worked.

Go figure!
