For years, I have never been happy with the way I am forced to route the throttle cable on my TS1. A 90 degree elbow with the cable under a Diablo long range tank had the elbow pulling against the carb top. Today I noticed that, finally, the elbow has broken in two.

If this snake head set up works okay, I suspect that will resolve my issue.

Does anyone have any feedback at to how they work please?

They work well. I have one fitted on my imola gp.

I have had one fitted for a 3 or 4 years. Great bit of kit.

I have my cable routed on the kickstart side and then swoops round to carb under tank in a clean curve. Just means there's no tension on the cable nor any tight curves

Not sure who sells them in the UK - think I got mine from Scooter Center well before Brexit. I dont think they take Uk orders below £135 any more

Thanks for the replies. I have had other positive comments too, so I decided to buy one. Only then did I find that no one, including Scooter Center, has any in stock

I've had Snake Heads on both of mine since they first came out Paul, they work great

Thinking of routing the cable under the frame tube and using a 180 degree connector now.

I had one and it worked great but after a few months I noticed there were bits of black grindings on the top of the carb slide, the cable was slowly cutting into the plastic it was made of.

It's not a massive problem, I just used to clean It out now and then.

Are you saying that the 90 degree bend for the actual cable runs on plastic as opposed to metal?

That is correct but its a very smooth curve, I cant say Ive ever noticed and plastic swarf on either of mine tbh

I’ll put a smear of grease on the cable just in that area.

I didn't expect to see it either, It wasn't like massive lumps or anything, most of it probably got sucked through the motor with no problems.

Mine seemed to be made out of strange plastic, like more powdery than usual. It felt like the mixture was wrong when they made the plastic! It wasn't the same type plastic like PHBH carb top it felt quite brittle.

I didn't want to bring any negativity to the party because they are a great piece of kit.

I swapped the fuel tank and went back to a normal type top.
