OKO is the name of the PWK copy from ScootRs who also sells jets and needles. You can also buy jets and needles from Scooter Centre Colne in Germany http://www.bgm-tuning.com/product-categ ... arburator/.

Also, I can confirm from my experience a few years back that the non-Keihin needles are not the same as genuine Keihin regardless of what is stamped on it. This makes them difficult to jet without going on a dyno.

Irrespective of whether they are good carbs worth persevering with, you may well have to re-jet for that filter. I have never tried one of those filters but they look very restrictive and have you considered how you will fit it?

its the one with the malossi filter and rubber elbow does fit on ok and sits where airbox used to be
did put it on and ran it for a couple of short local runs round haydock/n-le-willows ......stopped to see a mate when i went to go again it wouldnt start
i had made the schoolboy error of nipping out with no plug spanner or spare plug
when i got it home in the van i took plug out it was thick with oil! wiped it and it started
so then was panicking thinking crank oil seal had gone! not showing any other symptons tho and has been fine since albeit with new plug and back to open carb

Sounds like the filter, which by its nature restricts air to a degree, has made it too rich.

If you want to keep a filter, I'd recommend taking it to PSL in Kirkby. Pete has a dyno and charges a very reasonable price, IMO, to check the air/fuel ratio and jet the carb. I'd phone him first to see whether he has Keihin jets and needles though as these (poorly IMO) remade Keihin carbs are not everyone's cup of tea.

I know previous posters on this thread will disagree though :D

Cannot run mine with a filter on. Won't restart.
Perfect without filter.

Check the types of jets in your carb before ordering as I believe some of the scootrs ones have an oddball jet config which is different from the standard PWK type

Definitely 2 different main jet types easily recognised because 1 is long and the other short.
