S2 Side panel handle mounts

The spot welded plates that hold the tube through which the handle mechanism passes at the back of the side panels are rusted through. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that sells these separately? They are quite complex to re-form from scratch.

Hmm. I've never seen these for sale, but is the tube for the panel mounts still in good order? If so, then why not make the best of what you have got, either by inserting some extra steel to support the tube, or adding some alternative strengthening material like fibre glass. It isn't going to show.

Thanks, the alternative will be to cobble somthing together that looks like the much more simply designed Series 3 mounts, which appears to be an angled strip of steel.
