The Weekly Photo Challenge - Statue of / featuring an Animal

PostPosted: Sun Feb 05, 2017 6:55 pm

Current Theme: "Statue of or featuring an Animal" until 23.59 Sunday 3rd September
Next Theme: ???? from 00:01 Saturday 2nd September until 23:59 Sunday 10th September

Please post a little information with your photos about where or what you picked or the local area?
Remember, first to post picks the following weeks theme.

This is a continuation of the old thread that JohnnyXS started here viewtopic.php?f=19&t=6990

Basically the idea is simply to enjoy your Lambretta and post some photos but with a wee challenge weekly and there is some rules / guidance :D

1. Each weeks challenge commences 00:01 on Saturday morning and finishes 23.59 on the following Saturday. (This is to give everyone 2x chances to take both weeks pictures on a weekend.)
2. Please only post a single image for each weeks challenge in this thread. ( there is no reason why we couldn't start another thread to post further images.)
3. Only images that have been taken during the subject challenge week are eligible .( No early and No late posts please if you miss the deadline, this is just to keep the thread tidy).
4. The first person to post the weeks challenge image can they also post their choice of theme for the following weeks challenge, that means that we don't have to rely on me changing the theme title immediately and also gives people plenty of notice for the following week.
5. Remember, the photo has to be taken during that themes week.
6. Enjoy!

I had an errand to do today so took the opportunity to stop on the way through Wakefield I found this slipway to launch a boat into the river .
I've tried to add a bit more artistic atmosphere using B&W.
Glad to hear JohnnyXs is ok I too hope he comes back ;)

Rutland Water on the ride home from work today. Not a great photo but if you look closely you can see one of the loonies out sailing in the driving snow.

Donnie - I bought it from a bloke up in Manchester this time last year but some of the old MoT certificates are from St Ives and Biggleswade so in the parish for St Neots and prior to that Cornwall.

Aha, thought so, used to be a localish scooter, pretty sure its the same one. Think he sold it to a bloke called Jon, and the side panels used to have decals on them too, pretty sure it didnt have front shocks on though, so either the manchester chap added them or you did or its not the same scooter after all.

Also, if it is the right one, I think you will find the address on the St.Ives ones are in fact the Cambridgeshire St Ives not the cornwall one :D :D

Donnie - it's the same bike. It had 'Robin Banks' decals on the panels with land rover, jaguar and a phone number. It is the Cambridgeshire St Ives on the MoT certificates but prior to these certificates I have ones from Bodmin in Cornwall. I added the dampers when I rebuilt the engine. When I first got it it still had the original 150 top end with an MA carb.
