Return of the Fat Boy Three to the forum.
Me, Nobby and Smurf SX been building Fat Boys for the last year or so. Here's our progress with the intention of all three making IoW this year.

Mine a few months ago.

Nobby found some knurled knobs on some compressors I think. Quick bit of fabbing by himself and a buff on the polishing wheel, hey presto industrial choke and petrol levers

First test ride for while... Bugger. Enamel insert disappeared.
Image
Been looking at S1 flyscreens for a while but didn't really fancy a bolt-on Bieme jobby, as smart as they are, so thought I'd have a go at making one. The end result is bit Marmite really from responses I've had. Yes or no? TBH you get so wrapped up in a build that you can't see the wood for the trees sometimes! Think my sleep depravation from newborn son also playing a part. Personally I like it in an industrial way.
Anyway, first drew up a cardboard template.
Image
Mocked up a couple of brackets to hold in place
Image
Bought some ally plate from B&Q and drew out
Image
It's suprising how big the holes look in situ. Not digging it. Too big.
Image
Image
Image
Getting meshy. Cut some ally mesh down to fill the holes and stuck to the ally plate.

Tidied edging up with a PX carb top rubber

TBC...

TBH I found that floorboard binned outside Bedlams 20+ yrs ago. Had it just because. Never looked twice at a fatty in them days, it was GPs and cutdowns for me.
