Just before the old forum went down I finally finished my S-Type but never got the chance to put any pics up and complete the thread so I will start the thread again from the beginning. Not sure about adding pics yet to this new forum so please bear with me.

This was how it looked before:-

Then last year my sidepanel decided to part company twice after hanging on tightly for 16 years. My painter had stopped painting and only he could match the flake in the flashes. One of the runner boards had split badly and she was looking a little tired under the panels so I decided on a re-paint. As AF's 50th Anniversary was coming up this year it was a no brainer how I wanted it to look.

So I shipped it all off to Torch Engineering in Castleford for Terry, next door, to paint.

Note the panel locks this time, lol.

Finally got it all back together about 6 weeks ago and added the decals and badges.

Hi Rich ,Was nice to see you and scoot at Kelso. Nice job you've done there. Bit of a wet one but a good ride out all the same.

Cheers Deany, the rack is a Sebring which is correct to this style of scooter but I have had the brackets altered to drop nicely on to the spare wheel and carrier.

Cheers Daz, wasn't too bad when I saw you at Corbridge but much worse was to come, in fact on the A1 I have never been so scared on a scooter. The rain was coming down in sheets and I could not see more than a couple of yards, my glasses steamed up and I drifted off on to a slip road to clear my sight. Turned out it was the A59 but I just went straight back on to the A1 at the roundabout and carried on through it.Very scary though.

Well chuffed with my trophy considering there were some very tasty streetracers in there.
