LOL yes, I have never got over these. Worse could be to come as I sort through some old photos :-)

Yes, it was Gijon. Most of my pics were ruined as, surprise, surprise, water got into the camera. Gladly these were saved :P

IIRC the bloke offering those for sale wanted silly money for everything.
I bought some original lince stripes from him and they weren't cheap either!

Great rally though.

Did it rain? can't say I noticed!

Tim, yes, the lad in Gijon wanted top dollar for the prototype RX300. Might have been Euros 5000, or something like that. I recall it was still for sale several months after Gijon but I have heard nothing about it since. I have to say, I do love it :D

Col, I have a book about these DDR Simsons. There were a significant number of East Germans who, apparently, used to go on far flung trips across communist eastern Europe on these 50cc 4 strokes. Again, I genuinely like these ugly ducklings too :roll: :mrgreen:
