My standard LI150. There was a rebuild thread "Scootering Again" on old forum but here it is in one post. :D

My first scooter since 1985ish. Got it in 2011 and rebuilt/painted it in the garage getting it on the road middle of 2013. Total strip to its component parts, was worse than and needed a lot more work than I thought and as a first rebuild was a steep learning curve but very satisfying. Finally felt happy enough with it to go on a rally so did C2C this year without a hitch. It gets ridden a lot even if just for a newspaper 8-)
It's completely standard and points ignition. A bit of mucking about with electrics to include a battery and rectifier for decent lights/horn. It's all on photobucket.

Here it is.....

I wasn't in when it was delivered but I believe my very understanding wife's words were "He paid HOW MUCH!!!?" as it came off the van.

And fast forward... a lot

Yep C2C was great. Spoke to you briefly about the weather just after signing on at start, realised it was you only when I saw you later on your series one - bit of a giveaway :)

Lovely resto... Glad you've re-posted.

By the way, what's the yellow cover, and where can you get one.

I'm looking for a bright coverfor my Givi roll bag and that looks as though it'll do the job.

TIA.

The bag is a roll top waterproof bag, commonly used for canoeing. Loads of scooterists use them. Now and again Aldi sell them or get one from a canoeing/outdoor type shop. Had tent, mini sleeping bag, wash kit and a few bits and bobs in it.
