Lovely that is.
I've got the same tax disc holder on my original paint s2!
Any special plans for it?

Apart from a deep clean my plan is to disturb as little as possible I think the outer control cables are fine - still soft and supple so I won’t have to take off the horn cast to replace - I’m sure if I tried the fixings would shear. Engine will get a full overhaul, exhaust looks solid I’ll also try and keep it on 6V points ignition
The difference in paint colour is obvious- I think the original gold has faded to coppery pink in the sunlight and the bits that are still gold colour have been in the shade - all part of this scooters long history

Bit of a mixed evening in the shed This is definitely the first time this engine has been apart since new - 60 years ago. The stator is impressively clean - I’m going to keep it on points. Less impressive is the fact that the mag housing was seized in solid - I got a bit carried away and sheared it .(see my wanted ad…. )
