Just having a look over the bike this afternoon. Pulled the plug and it was still very dark. I down jetted from a 168 main on Saturday night to a 162. Pulling the plug showed it to be well rich hence down on power 2nd race on Saturday. Dropping to a 162 obviously wasn't enough as the plug was still black I was advised with avgas the plug should be a grey brown. It just shows how altitude affects jetting. Looking at the plug I probably could have come down to mid 150's. The scoot survived the weekend quote well with minumn maintainance to do. I ve just been looking at the rear tyre leaning the bike over to see how far down I must be getting to shred the tyre the way it has.

It certinatly didn't feel like it was getting down that far. I also noticed the fiberglass airscoop also took a good scrapping. I'll have to modify it so it sits a little higher up.

The main modification though has got to be for more power :D I'm just glad I didn't bin it and kept shinney side up !

I've been adding a little extra striping to the paint, daft I know keep it simple in case of another off. I've also got a mugello upgrade to add to the motor and another ignition system coming soon

I've also lengthened the bgm shock to it's max 310mm to jack the back end up for better ground clearance.I've also been advised this gives better handling. You can see by the gap from rear wheel to mudguard.

Good luck. Will try and get to as many as possible. I am keen to see how the new classes are supported before taking the plunge again. Just out of interest, I read somewhere that they have put a limit of 100db on exhausts at Lydden. How would this affect scooters power wise? I know the race pipe I had on my Smallframe was around 105db and repacking it made little difference.

A little more prep work. Picked up a few bits , added a steering damper. Team replay have been running these this year. With good results I'm told. Also got myself a pair of crash bobbins for the forks. These will protect the forks and dampers if we take a tumble again.

That is excellent! Following on the DSC tradition as well, both myself and weeks also have best newcomer awards from our days racing(many years ago now),
well done and very well deserved, know the time and effort you've put in.

Hi and thanks for words of encouragement. I'll defo need it for group 4 this year. The group has thinned out abit and left the hardcore of racers for me to contend against. Quite a few have moved groups so unless some new riders come into the group I'll definitely have my work cut out for this year ! :?

Here's my sponser logo for this year ! I'm hoping to get some a little bigger. I'm told there getting made up.

Here's James and myself showing our silver where at the agm. James getting 2nd place in group 4 2015. What a massive achievement. Well done mate !

This is the next upgrade. A lot of the riders won't ride without one of these radial mastercylinders. I had an off at croft down to locking the front wheel. Apprently this makes braking a lot less aggressive.

Dax,
Are you willing to share product info for the recent upgrades you've done, steering damper, fork bobbins and that master cylinder?
