Had a spin up north yesterday with ScooterStu...took in the Yorkshire Dales, Tan Hill, then beyond, to Teesside to visit High Force Waterfall....bloody impressive despite the recent dryer weather.
240 miles done, on the smallest of B-roads - and still home before dark.
Nearing Kettlewell

A dry River Aire, at Yockenthwaite

'onest Mr Farmer - I nivver touched thi wall !

Queen Victoria's headstone....buried here in 1887.
'onest!

Going up in the world again...

The high road down into Hawes - home of Wensleydale cheese.

Over Buttertubs Pass and into West Stonesdale - the stone barns a feature of the Dales

Had a play about with the camera on the Stonesdale hairpin before yet another hillclimb

....someone had thought of this first though...

Once up over Tan Hill we headed into Cumbria briefly before crossing into Teesside to visit High Force - a brilliant water feature, which still looked good despite only being on half power

...and back via the Howgill hills, north of Sedbergh - a cracking day out on the scooter...better for going midweek in school time too - we had most of it to ourselves.
