Scandi Raid Rögue Crew 2023

This Tuesday starts our own mini Euro Lambretta adventure. In a little Greek restaurant in Libramont for Euro 22 having a rather drunken lunch, three of us, myself and Ian from Bristol Lambretta Club and Mark ‘Solid Air’ Bennett hatched a plan to do our own Euro trip as the UK is host for 2023. We teamed up with Andy from BLC later that afternoon as he also had his own thoughts on where we should try and go.
Over a few months of WhatsApp chat we settled on a trip up into Denmark and Sweden crossing the Oresund bridge from Copenhagen into Malmo which was deemed a highlight we shouldn’t miss.
What started as a group of 4, attracted a few more LCGB members and then 8 of the Manchester Lyons. Myself and Gareth Middleton of the Lyons did the majority of the cat herding, collecting money, making bookings until what ended up as an organised trip. We’ve had a few additions and a few unfortunate dropouts too but this Tuesday 19 off Lambretta riders leave the UK from various destinations to meet in Lubeck in Northern Germany on the 25th May. I leave Helsinki on the ferry on Tuesday also, arriving Wednesday evening to meet up.
On Friday we ride up into the far North of Germany and get a short ferry across to Denmark. We are stopping just outside Copenhagen on Friday night. Saturday sees us cross into Sweden over the Oresund bridge (combination of bridge and tunnel) to meet our hosts, the Lambretta Club of Malmo. They are then leading us up to Ängelholm on Saturday to spend a couple of nights. Rideouts and lunches/dinners have been planned by the Swedes during our stay. On the Monday most of the Brits start the return journey, however a couple head north for the Restless SC rally in Oslo the following weekend. I also accompany them North as I drive 800km to cross Sweden and ferry back to Helsinki via Stockholm.
We will update here with photos and stories, but I understand that magazine articles are planned too.
