You've opened a can of worms here MDracer - nearly everyone who rides abroad has a breakdown story, often more of a nightmare really. I have cover via my insurance Footman James & needed them twice during trips abroad. First time was in Germany, coming back from a Euro: they and their sub-contractors were excellent. Second time was in Italy & whilst they were good on the day, sorting out my pick up and hotel etc. I had to be far more pro-active and chase them for updates. I called them the day I flew back into the UK for another update only to be told that was the end of their action & as I was back in England that was the end of the repatriation! Thankfully their misunderstanding was quickly sorted and my Lambretta was safely delivered to my home address 3 weeks later.

As Toddy says, check your insurance policy as you might already be covered.
