Thanks, Mark

Had a great time at Mull but sadly the scooter went home on an AA lorry. I had stopped for a break at Luss next to Loch Lomond where the scooter decided she'd had enough. I stripped the engine today to find the flywheel weld/boss had cracked and failed so the piston would have probably carried on another 60 miles to Mull, oh well.

However that didn't mean I was going home, while waiting for the AA my wife phoned me to say that she had decided to go to Mull, with one of the kids, without telling me and so was on the island waiting for me!!

I then took a 2 hour bus ride to Oban to meet them and a great weekend followed 8-)

Thanks and hello to Paul, Nigel & Dave (from Morecambe/Kendal) for a good laugh at the clubhouse on Friday night, to Carl for giving me a lift to Tobermory and the ILC lads for the lift back in the van and the "entertainment" of their camaraderie on Saturday :D the LCGB for organising the rally and to my wife for not letting me have to sit in the AA van all the way back to Cambridge

All the best

Mark

Good wasn't it. I set off on this saying it was the last time with a standard engine & it was time for some of that new fangled nonsense. But having got me there and home including a couple of blasts on the motorway avoiding Carlisle on the way and Glasgow on way back, I'm not sure.

I can hear Paul groaning and rolling his eyes!
Inventory check on scooter tonight to see what's missing apart from what I already know.
