I've had a few people asking about the Derbyshire 150, so here's some useful (I hope) info about proceedings based on questions I've been asked.
The rugby club will be open from lunch time Friday. Please make sure you have your ticket and membership card with you when you arrive
There will be dos at the club Fri and Sat nights. These are only open to those attending the rally no extra guests allowed
Food is included Fri night, St morning and night and Sunday morning
You will be awarded BSM points for attending the rally without doing the ride, but I think you'll miss out if that's what you do
The ride is approx 145 miles long and I want to get people on the road between 9.30 and 10, so if you're staying off site and want you breakfast at the rugby club get there in time
The route takes in some great roads including Snake Pass and the Cat & Fiddle, but be aware there are plenty of speed cameras and average speed restrictions
Everyone attending will be given turn by turn directions (like C2C), which will also show petrol stations. The longest stretch without petrol is approx 33 miles
The lunch stop will be the town of Castleton in the High Peak. There's a couple of big car parks plus lots of pubs, cafes and shops.
Due to numbers there will only be one check in on the route where participants will be given a rally patch and extra sticker that you won't get just by attending
I estimate that the the ride will take 5+ hours
Right think that covers it. Cheers, Steve

Don't worry I have no doubts in my mind who will be last, if the sidecar makes it around.

Just make sure the printing is nice and big on the route directions so us blind old farts can read them without stopping to put glasses on or I might not get round before dark! Getting excited already. Roll on Friday.

Although the LCGB shop won't be at the Derbyshire 150 we will have event tee shirts and pin badges for sale (in addition to the give away goodies) and break down spares available courtesy of Shaw-fire Lambretta

That cat & fiddle pass looks great on the map but not the speed cameras. Do you think I'll bother them on the trusty 150D?

Petrol station closed,
Not sure where abouts we are joining the Snake-pass but the last petrol station out of Sheffield (up the hill after the Uni), before you start on the Snake-pass was closed down when I came home from Lincoln rally.
Only saying cos I normally use it for me last fill up.

Just a little extra information on the Cat and Fiddle road, the cameras are rear facing as a deterrent to the motorcyclists that do make the road a listed 'Black' road.
It is 50mph and the cameras take your average speed over several distances. They start on the incline after the turn above Buxton on the A54. When you reach the top of the bends (junction A54/A537) there is another camera and then a good straight piece on the level to the next camera where it is easy to forget they are there and drift over the 50mph limit!!
Be careful and stay safe. See you all next weekend

No is the short answer. The rally is advance ticket only and it would be unfair for those that have paid to participate if others just turn up and join the ride.
