1960's Esso Scoot To Scotland info needed

Does anyone remember the event (1964 & 1966, I think) and if so, was there an exact route drawn up?
I'm dreaming up re-tracing the steps & want to study the route, if poss.

How quickly do you need to know Dave ? ................ Im pretty certain I will have the route listed in one of the magazines from that time
