I’m reaching out again on behalf of the Wasps of London Scooter Club, one of the longest-running scooter clubs in London, to see if you might be interested in featuring our upcoming event, the 'Ride of Remembrance' scooter run, on your social media platforms.
The 'Ride of Remembrance' draws between 500 and 1,000 participants each year, primarily riding vintage Lambrettas and Vespas, to honour those who have served. We begin our journey in Putney and ride to the Hyde Park War Memorial, where we join other scooter clubs to lay wreaths. After the ride, we return to Putney for an auction to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal.
To date, we’ve raised over £94,000 and this year, we hope to surpass £100,000.
