Home from another challeging but ultimately enjoyable C2C....

All went well, very good turn out, great to catch up and share journey anecdotes of Redcar to Tan Hill, then Tan Hill to St Bees, whether over the passes or the longer ride up throught the lakes to A66... Which has some nice views!

Eventful journey over Saturday, uneventful fast ride home home today but only 125 miles for me.
Weather a bit shit until i got out if Cumbria... Say nowt!!

Always worth the effort

Hope those who had offs are okay.

Safe journey those still on the road!

Be thankful you weren’t travelling south into Lancashire, Gaz. Incessant and heavy spray all the way to Liverpool when it finally relented. :)

Still, we arrived home sunny side up with no more dramas than my toolbox door lock rattling itself to bits. That’ll do me.

Great weekend rain all the way home for us I’m afraid but didn’t dampen a great weekend

Great weekend and a great route.

Thankfully the weather stayed kind on Friday & Saturday - but we paid for it on the ride home on Sunday. The conditions going south on the M6 were bad & thats putting it lightly.

Comiserations & thoughts go out to the lad on Hardknott Pass & the other lad who got his scooter nicked in Redcar.

Looking forward to next year !

Was a lot signed on at Redcar and a few who never - me included !

I only printed out 5 sheets with 25 lines each # - they were filled up quickly plus the back of at least 3 of them

# well some else printed them for me but I was convinced there were more lines on them for some unknown reason......oops !

Will get the stats for each sign on point and post them.

Another cracking C2C, never get fed up of this event. Nice steady ride up from Warwickshire on Friday stopping in Driffield for lunch and then overnight in Whitby. Fantastic route on Saturday where it got pretty windy at Tan Hill. The ride then on to St Bees was stunning as usual. The three passes were the highlight again. Approaching Hardnott the weather looked a bit grim but held off apart from running water on the road. We bumped into the usual car rally coming the opposite way and was shocked to see the stretch limo, he never took that over the passes did he? We all arrived safe in St Bees without any issues ready for some welcome beers. Sunday wasn't quite so enjoyable. The original plan of heading home to Warwickshire through the scenic Peak District was abandoned due to the rain. The M6 we decided was probably the less treacherous route home. The non stop rain made for a hard ride. At times visibility was awful either down to pure volume of rain or spray off the lorries and coaches. Although my jacket, trousers and boots didn't fail the rain managed to wick through my neck scarf. Made it home safe after a total of 625 miles with some great memories and a half wet t shirt. Thanks to my riding pals Covboy, Al Terry and Steve Watkins for the great company and thanks to all who had a hand in organising the event. I've only managed 2 LCGB Events this year but with the Devon150 & C2C they have been 2 absolute crackers. Thanks :D

183 signed on at the start and 154 at the finish.

Thanks to Phil G for those final stats
