I have bougfht a stainless steel combined regulator and cdi mounting bracket and can't work out where it fits on my series 2 anybody any ideas please

presumably you have bought the one flat bracket

This mounts using 2 screws from the rhs of the frame (facing front) where coil used to be

If it's the one I'm thinking of it's a single plate and fits on top of the mudguard between the loop.
