Relays are probably best as it then handles less power through the switch gear and the low amperage wire that feeds the lights.
I only run one pathfinder, its wired up with a wire from the main beam (Dazzle) this trips a relay when the main beam is powered up, this then switches power direct from the battery to the spot light. But it only happens when the main beam is on.
It means I don't need a separate switch to power it.
Mark.
I could possibly guide you on a how to.

Paul,
Have you enough power to run all those lights? What wattage is your main beam lamp, and each of the pathfinder lamps? Remember you will have to include 26w for the stop and tail lamp to calculate how much power you need to run such lights.
Have you thought about mitigating the power drain by fitted some LED lamps in place of the incandescent lamps?
What electrical system are you using (6pole, variate onyx, electrix)? Have you a battery?

I run 2 spots both 12v 55w do they draw on their own feed wire from my battery in excess of 9 amps. I use 15A wiring with 10A fuse. I have a sealed 12v 4 amphour battery so clearly it would flatten in less than half an hour. It is trickle charged but I use them sparingly as I have wired compressed air horns and my brake light from the battery.
I'd be a bit worried about drawing all that current through my 50 year old "brown" wire.
I have also wired in a small voltmeter.

agree with above feed off main beam wire to a relay safest way and no extra switch needed but unless you are running a battery conversion it will dim everything

I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing here
I am looking at doing the conversion that AF did by utilising the LI3 light switch to operate the extra lamps
I seem to recall seeing something posted about it before but can't find it

True, you are talking about the actual switch but ALL the other information is still relevant, such as switching the spot via the main beam II think that might be a legal requirement) and the limited wattage available from the stator/battery.
