I did this to mine. Bit nerve wracking hacking off a bit of a re-built scooter, which is only surpassed by the thought of the tap snapping off, but it worked perfectly.

The original brake pin is only tacked in and easily removed from the saddle .
New pins are available from S/R .
I had the circlip groove machined in and also the grease nipple thread and side hole then just re- tacked it in place having measured how far the old one stuck out .

I did't have Sticky's then so was flying by the seat of my pants.
I'm not sure if I'd have gone to all the trouble if I had. ;)
Great idea explaining the process in more depth.
I bet theirs loads more material in the book. ;)

If you save all your old brass gear shaft casing bushes these fit far better than the nylon pedal inserts
