Ancilotti exhaust problem

Hello all. I have fitted an Ancilotti clubman style exhaust to my series 3. It appears to catch both the side stand and kick start lever. I have made sure that the correct down pipes are fitted and the exhaust runs well. It looks like I need to file down the outer rim of the exhaust box to clear both the stand and the kick start. Is this right?? Thanks

I managed to not have to damage my new laqured exhaust ancilotti and took the stand off and using a small piece of scaffold and with the stand securely protected in a vice went about slowly dry bending it outwards until it cleared the exhaust. only about 5-10mm. Not noticable once fitted again ;) good luck bro

Yes to both faults. File and a hammer. Thats Lambrettas for you or should I say the quality of parts sold today.
Ps buy decent tools you will need them.

Yes I did so filed that so as to clear the pipe without damaging the nice new exhaust

depending on how much of an issue this is it may be possible to elongate the hole in the stand "hook" bracket and force the stand one way or the other but this will only gain you a couple of mm.
it is common to have to cut a small part of the pedal stop plate off of some pedals but not all

Just bent my stand out a bit also with a scaffold pole but just took the scooter off the stand and leaned it against a wall to do it. Didn't need to remove the stand.

I must admit, I bought it for a bit more oomph and to run a bit quieter than my standard clubman (+ Mugello 185 kit) and it does neither. Wouldn't have bothered if I'd known then.. Etc. v disappointed

I believe later ones were improved especially as regards the oil level plug being accessible. I'd like to know if this is the case as I need another clubman. Are they now a three piece design?

I bought mine in March-ish of this year from Cam Lam. The oil drain plug is accessible and my only issues are with the kickstart lever (now sorted) and stand not coming right up, although the stand is new and my old one was ok! It came as a 2 part kit
