Just unwrapped a new one I've bought and noticed there are no holes drilled for the stand feet , is this normal ? do I drill some myself or have a chat with the supplier ?

Have a word with the supplier.Drilling a hole in each leg in stainless steel is a nightmare.

You could mock up a template as a guide to stop the drill slipping about. Start with a centre punch, a small pilot drill and work up. Don't be frightened of a bit of basic engineering. Confidence is all you need ( and a drill ) ;)

Stainless is really hard to drill , why put up with half a job , after all you wouldn't expect to go to Kwick fit and expect to fit your own tyres .
Blooming cheek if you ask me . :o

unless you've got a pillar drill and cobalt bits it's nearly imposible to drill round stainless bar
