I have fitted a brand new series 3 front disc ( standard Type ). I have been looking at converting to reverse pull set up.
I have looked at three kits as follows.

Rimini Lambretta £38.50

Ebay UK £25.00 free post

Cambridge Lamb' £7.94

They all look the same, am I missing something, big difference in prices. Thanks.

Depends what parts you already have. Rimini part RLC005 £6.50 makes life a bit easier in that you don't have to tap and drill anything. Also, Scooter Restorations cable:

Front Disc Brake Cable (Grey) (14-71h)

I don't bother with those cable guides as, in my experience, they vibrate themselves to bits. Judiciously placed cable ties are better.

Lastly, you may wish to consider placing petrol pipe (8mm diameter) over the cable. This tends to keep the cable away from the tyre anyway.

Back in the 70's we used to use gold effect shower hosing to stiffen up and decorate the part of the cable you get to see. How tacky was that?

Hi Storkfoot. I have found the Rimini website, is there anywhere in the UK I can purchase that part RLC005.
Thanks for replies lads.

You can use standard SIII components, either back brake or gear/clutch cable adjusters from memory.

Although any set-ups I've ever done will have a ferrule & lock nut fitted, I've always adjusted the cable via the lower nyloc nut as it's just so much easier.

I hope the image on this site helps:

To my knowledge, no. I recently ordered one with a few other bits and bobs. Only light stuff so the postage was, from memory, 10 euros.

I never bought any special parts to facilitate this modification.

All you will need is something to fit the outer cable to the ferrule. A cable adjuster for a carb will do nicely.

Thanks for all the input lads, I had a quick look in the garage this morning, I think I now have all the parts that I will need. Still too cold to sit on a garage floor. Should warm up next week. Regards :)
