No lights,horn or brake light

Trying to finish my series 3 li 125 ,has been converted to 12v electronic ignition but can't get lights,horn or brake lights have checked that i am getting power from stator (there is) as was previously told check,any ideas on what to do next before I replace regulator.thanks for any suggestions

Check for ac voltage into the regulator (will vary between low and up to 20v). Check for ac voltage out of the regulator (should be more stable 10v-14v)

If still no joy:
Disconnect regulator and connect a 12v battery/charger and use this to help fault find (easier than starting the engine every time). Check for voltage at regulator output then trace the wire to headset and check it is still there.

get a Stickey's manual which has a good selection of wiring diagrams.

Buy a simple test light from any automotive parts outlet, then trace the power from stator to wherever it stops, thus identifying your fault. This is the type that I carry in my toolkit:

It very simply allows you to test the to see if there is power coming off your stator wire (goes to regulator), then whether it comes out of the other side of the regulator, then trace this to your junction box and or connection to loom, then it'll go to headset junction box (does it go into connector and come out the other side... many poor connector blocks do not make contact, even though crimped!), then off to respective switches and or equipment (bulbs, horn, etc.). This is a tool that everyone should have... as mine is forever coming out when other people's lights fail!!!!! :lol:

Simply buying replacement parts, for what may be nothing more than a bad connection, could prove to be a very expensive way of addressing your issue.
