Hi

Does anybody know of an outlet that sells the side panel catch bracket? My next project has got one missing.

If they're not available I will have to make one.

thanks...

I would suspect that you wont find them available

Either fabricate or put a want add up for a used part...

There are so called remade ones available but I'd advise you don't waste your money on finding out what brand of cheese they're made from and fabricate your own . Or you could be lucky enough to find someone has an original they'd let you have . Good luck .

As Mel said you can get them from Scooter Restorations but they are not fit for purpose.

I have one and it's half the thickness of the original, the wrong profile and just flaps around when you try and clip the panel on.

If you can make one I'm sure you'll have a ready market.....

I'm disappointed at the Scooter restorations ones are poor I need one for my Eibar, although I'm not surprised.

Has anyone used the series 3 panel clip set up on a series 2?

I did the API clip set up on my S2 as I didn't want handles. S3 don't work I had to make the clips.

Theyre spot welded on so the only way youre probably going to get one is to advertise for a scrap/ accident damaged frame..

I actually took one off my Series 1 and sold it as it originally had no sidepanels.

Lesson learned - I seldom sell anything original anymore.

Agreed, sods law always without fail kicks in and you'll need it at some point. Ive got a very large box full of used/rusty/ worn Tv1 parts that ill probably never use or have any need for....that is until i get rid of it all.... ;)

Great picture btw, the old phone boxes and letter box's always make a good back ground. Ive got a similar pair near to my place in the UK... my house is quite new but in a listed area so apparently cant be removed, getting quite rare on the ground now..
