If you can smell it when you are moving it's most unlikely to be coming from your scooter, its not usual for you to smell anything coming from your scooter when you are on the move, the guy behind you may be able to smell it.

Jonoy use your nose to locate where the burning smell is coming from and try narrow it down a bit.

Is it a rubber burning smell ? tyres rubbing maybe check the treads and clearance.
Is it an electrical wiring burning smell ?
Is it a burnt oil smell ?
Is it coming from the exhaust ?
give us a little more to go on ;) we're good but we ain't that good :D

not dragging maybe but it might be slipping .
when was the last time you checked your oil level in the gearbox ?

If you think the smell might be coming from within the crankcase then you need to drain the oil and remove the cover asap and check out what is happening in there.
