Has anyone found a modern rattle-can spray paint that is a reasonable substitute for Neuvo White by any chance ?

thanks toddy i didn't make that very clear did I ! ...but what I'm really looking for is a much cheaper solution as I have quite a lot to paint and 10-12 cans of that would be £150+
Halfords cellulose aerosols are only £6.99 which would work out half the price if I can find a car with a similar colour to Neuvo white.

Its not for restoring a scoot to the original colour, its for spraying some panels on a van and various other componants

Can't you go to your local paint supply shop and ask them to knock up a match for Nuevo White in rattle cans , might work our cheaper than Halfords ?

AMD Paints
Address: 4, Canal Bridge Centre
Ellesmere Port
CH65 4EH
United Kingdom
Tel: 0151 355 2229
Fax: 0151 355 2229
E-mail: info@amdpaints.co.uk

Phone these. They trade on the Internet as Lambretta paints. They may be cheaper direct. Their spray cans are way better than you'll get at Halfords.

The amount of actual paint in a halfords can is a lot less than you will get in a car paints supplier....you will notice a massive difference in the body shop cans when it comes to using it,less runs and a far supplier finish, and goes further

^ I agree, the stuff from AMD/Lambrettapaints is excellent in cans and goes on really well, the primers are good too, much easier than Halfords.

I guess it's not the most economical way of doing it, how about looking for a compressor 2nd hand maybe and getting the paint in pots from AMD? I don't know how that would cost out in comparison to cans.

£41.40 a litre which should be plenty for a whole scooter

My alternative would be the one true colour - Matt Black!

I have thought about this option too but not sure I can justify the cost of all the spray gear , paint ,compressor etc

Check Aldi from time to time they have compressor and accessories quite reasonable.

You can also get blasting, tyre inflation, impact driver etc. once you have the compressor.
