Hi Barry. Does your Dad know you're out playing? Ha!
I think the Feridax screen, as fitted to the 'old boy' type scooters were principally there so that their (tobacco) pipes wouldn't be extinguished.
So, yes they are a female contraceptive device in so much as they are a unisex contraceptive device. Nobody could have ever got pulled as the result of having one fitted.....
